Sapporo Symphony Orchestra hereby announce that the contract with our chief conductor, Mo. Matthias Bamert be extended for 3 years, until March 2024.
Since his inauguration in April 2018, Mo. Bamert has guided the orchestra with his varied repertoire and presented number of superb performances.
Sapporo Symphony Orchestra will continue working with Maestro to widen its repertoire and search for further excellence.

I am delighted to spend the next four years together with the wonderful Sapporo Symphony Orchestra making great music together. The last two years have proven that our collaboration is very successful and has produced some very beautiful concerts.
It is my wish, that our mutual relationship will over this time deepen and bring us to
even higher artistic levels.
