The Sapporo Symphony Orchestra has continued to perform and spread classical music since 1961. However, every year, a substantial amount of money is needed to maintain the orchestra. We would like to ask for your financial support and become patron to assist the only professional orchestra in Hokkaido. The fee is treated as a donation by the revenue law and there would be a tax deduction. For details of the tax deduction system, please contact the office of the orchestra.
The Sapporo Symphony Orchestra has been authorized to announce oneself as the first Public Interest Incorporated Association among the professional orchestras nationwide (October 1, 2009). Thus a donation from a corporation is treated as loss if it is within a limit of "a half of the 0.25% of the capital plus 5% of the annual income for a corporation." For individuals, the amount of donation minus 2,000 yen is considered as allowance for the tax deduction.
