Record without accompaniment. ・Free to use any edition for concerto. ・Confirm the parts you are asked to perform on the orchestral study by the PDF file attached ・The recording must be made within 6 months before the date of application. ・Video taking must be done longitudinally and no edition permitted after the recording. The angle of the camera must be fixed during the recording. ・The recording must include your body above your knee. The instrument must be included together with your face and both right and left hands. ・The orchestral study can be recorded either standing or sitting, however the image must follow the condition noted above. ・The music and movement of hands must be simultaneous, and if not, may be rejected for further judgement. |
| How to apply / Deadline | Upload your video to “YouTube (unlisted)” and write in your URL information on your application and send the form together with your signed Consent of Handling Personal Information by post to Sapporo Symphony Orchestra. Use the application form on the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra official website, fill in necessary information requested together with URL of your video recording and paste your identification photo. We do not accept application form otherwise. Send the application form to the address noted in 6 by a registered post. The application forms are not returnable. ●Deadline Monday, April 6, 2026 (must arrive by this date) ●Result announcement of the video-recording audition Result will be sent by email no later than Friday, April 27, 2026 *Those who apply this audition being member of the orchestra registered in Japan Orchestra Federation (Regular member only) can omit the primary round audition and start from the secondary round scheduled on October 26. Please write in the name of your present orchestra and send the application form to Sapporo Symphony Orchestra *Those who passed the primary round will be asked to perform together with Sapporo Symphony Orchestra in the concerts as a guest principal player until the secondary round. |

[ Precautions] - The recording must be made within 6 months before the date of application. - Record with a piano accompaniment and prelude can be excluded accordingly. - Place track numbers at the beginning and at the start of your cadenza. - The recording device must be CD-R (music recording only). - Confirm the content with your audio device before submitting. Avoid low volume or any echo in the recording as this may affect the judgement. |

The orchestra will arrange a piano accompanist, but the applicant can also attend the audition with his/her accompanist. In this case, any fee incurred will be burnt by the applicant. There will be no rehearsal with the accompanist for the primary round audition. The accompanist will be preparing with Barenreiter, but there is no limitation for the soloist regarding the publisher. |
