Lionel BRINGUIER and Ms. Lise de la SALLE, piano, who were to appear in Subscription hitaru Concert Series No. 9 scheduled on April 14 are unable to be with us, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, as their schedules do not allow enough quarantine period requested by the Government of Japan. Kindly understand that the appearing artists and program for this concert are to be changed as follows:
Mo. Bringuier and Ms. de la Salle will be under continuous negotiation to appear in other concerts in Japan with related organizations.

【Biographies】
Kentaro Kawase, conductor
Born in Tokyo in 1984 and graduated with a degree in conducting from the Tokyo College of Music in 2007, having studied under Junichi Hirokami, Yasuhiko Shiozawa and others. Was awarded 2nd place (which was the highest level with no 1st place) at the Tokyo International Music Competition for Conducting in 2006, and since then KAWASE has received invitations to conduct Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra among others. He was also the assistant conductor of Pacific Music Festival (2007~2009). Kawase is to be Resident Conductor of the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra from April 2022.
Kana Okada, piano
Kana Okada was born in Hakodate, and at the age of 15, moved to France and studied in Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris under Frank Braley. Okada graduated with highest marks in major piano, chamber ensemble and completed the Master degree and continued her studies in artist diploma. Okada has received the first prize in Poulenc International Piano Competition and France International Piano Competition - Piano Campus Festival and was the finalist in Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition of Belgium. She has collaborated with major orchestras in Japan including Yomiuri, Tokyo Philharmonic, Japan Philharmonic and Sapporo Symphony Orchestra and with Matthias Bamert, Sebastian Weigle, Marin Alsop, Tadaaki Otaka, Junichi Hirokami, Kazuki Yamada, Kentaro Kawase among many others. Her appearance in music festivals and in media is also well known. Okada released her first CD from label Triton “Souvenirs” in 2018.
