【Tribute Performance】
Maestro Kazuyoshi Akiyama, the former Music Advisor and Principal Conductor passed away on January 26.
Our collaboration started in 1968, when he conducted the Subscription Concert and from December 1986, he was our Principal Guest Conductor, and between April 1988 to March 1998, he was our Music Advisor and Principal Conductor. During his tenure, he widened our repertoire, started Tokyo Concert now held annually, and began Masterpiece Concert Series.
To thank all that Akiyama-san had delivered to us, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra will perform Mozart Divertimento K.136 2nd movement with Maestro Junichi Hirokami.
